As a Resident Assistant at The Meadows of Wadena, you will be challenged and rewarded in your work assisting residents with their daily living tasks.  You will be part of a supportive and hard-working team making a difference in the lives of our seniors.

If you enjoy helping others and want to make a real impact in the lives of seniors, then this is the position for you.  Job responsibilities include assisting residents with personal cares as scheduled; performing housekeeping duties; observing residents and reporting changes in physical and emotional condition; assisting with meals as directed; and passing medications and supervising resident self-administration.

Shifts:
  • 6a – 2p, 6 days bi-weekly, including every third weekend.
  • 2p - 10p every other weekend, and the opportunity to pick up shifts during the week.
  • 6a – 2p every other weekend, and the opportunity to pick up shifts during the week.
  • 6a – 2p every 3rd weekend, and the opportunity to pick up shifts during the week.

Pay Rate: $17.28 - $19.78

Shift differentials for afternoons, overnights, and weekends!

+$0.50 for CNA certification and +$1.00 for both CNA and TMA certifications!

- We are excited to offer paid time off and a 403b retirement plan open to all employees, both effective immediately upon hire.  For employees hired at 30+ hours/week we have great health insurance that offers a variety of coverage and cost levels, and dental insurance.  Full-time employees (40 hours/week) receive paid holidays!

-Tuition reimbursement is available for new CNA and TMA certification, and other post-secondary education degree programs including nursing.

While previous experience is welcome for this entry level position, it isn't required as we are willing to train you to be a successful member of our team!

Must perform all required job tasks as trained and directed and respect the confidentiality and personal privacy of residents.

In order to be able to clearly communicate with and provide appropriate care to our residents, as well as to complete all job tasks safely and as required, you must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Prior to starting work, all employees are required to pass a criminal investigation as solely determined by the State of Minnesota.  We cannot employ anyone who does not successfully pass the background study.
